Italian lessons for all children aged 5-11 are a unique feature of John Rankin schools.
All children receive an Italian session every week, making it one of the few primary schools in the country to offer this opportunity.
Our Italian teacher, Ms Elisabetta, makes the lessons fun as well as informative.
She says, "Learning a foreign language broadens your mind. I love teaching the children my language".
