Doors Open at JRS

05 June 2020

The 2nd June marked a new phase in the school’s journey back to some type of normality. During this time John Rankin will be providing a range of learning opportunities for different groups of children.

We wanted to say a big thank you for all the continued support you have given to the school. All staff really appreciate all your kind words in what is, a very challenging time.

Firstly, we just wanted to emphasise to all our children in years two, three, four and five that we haven’t forgotten you! We all miss you and cannot wait until the government says it safe for more children can come back. There is no indication when this will be. We will communicate our plans when we have more information. For this group of children we continue to provide home learning opportunities plus email support as we have since closure.

For families of nursery, reception, year one and year six children who have decided not to come back to school, we totally understand your views. These are difficult times. Difficult decisions need to be made – there is no right or wrong. We will continue to provide learning opportunities and email support each week.
